Confluent provides you with Life and Disability insurance to help financially protect youself and your family in the event of a death, a disabling accident, or an illness.
Life and AD&D is fully-paid by Confluent and provides you with two types of protection:
This benefit reduces to 50% at age 65 and terminates at age 75 or earlier retirement.
Your weekly STD benefits may replace up to 75% of your salary, to a maximum benefit of $1,750 per week and lasts up to 16 weeks.
After this period, if you are still disabled and unable to work, you may become eligible for Confluent’s long-term disability (LTD) benefit (see below).
STD payments are a taxable benefit.
If your STD benefit ends and you’re still unable to work, LTD benefits provided to you through Confluent may replace up to 75% of your salary for the length of your qualified disability, up to a maximum benefit of $15,000 per month (or $9,500 without evidence of good health).
The LTD benefit is offset by other benefits received, such as government disability assistance and Confluent leave pay policies, as applicable.
The plan provides a qualifying disability period of 16 weeks, with taxable benefits payable until age 65.
